Purpose & Vision:

Learning Value Network (LVN) is a peer network of senior OD/HR and Leadership Development professionals who meet quarterly to share ideas, principles and best practice on OD and Learning issues in a confidential roundtable format. Meetings are hosted at member organisation’s sites usually from 2-5pm.

The Network was initiated from Best Practice research into Executive Leadership and Development, commissioned by the BBC in 2001 and undertaken by Fiona Ellis with eight leading organisations. The meetings address topics and questions arising for participants on an action research basis around organisational and executive development.

Topics are generated by the group and recently have included

  • Making Self Directed Learning really work: is 70:20:10 still the panacea? And how is its relevance changing the Digital Age?
  • Trusting HR: what is HR's brand proposition? Who is HR there to serve?
  • Leadership in a Disruptive World- what level of leadership maturity is needed?
  • The Magic of Ordinary V Shiny New Things
